
ABOUT
Born in 2004, Carlos studies with Julian Steckel at the Hochschule Fur Musik in Munich.
He began playing the cello with Iñaki Etxepare in Barcelona, before studying with Salvador Bolón, María Casado and Asier Polo.
He then continued his studies with Jérôme Pernoo and Edgar Moreau at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
Carlos has won several prizes in international competitions, including the Brahms Competition in Austria, the Kodály Competition in Hungary and Juventudes Musicales in Spain.
In October 2022, he was awarded the ' Prince of Hesse ' prize at the prestigious Kronberg Academy Masterclasses.
He has taken masterclasses with masters such as Peter Bruns, Alexander Chaussian, Danjulo Ishizaka, Gary Hoffmann, Xavier Gagnepain and Frans Helmerson.
Carlos has also performed in concert with musicians such as Daniel Hope, Simon Crawford-Philipps, Lena Neudauer, Philipp Graffin, Antje Weithaas, Jonathan Brown and Alexander Kobrin, and has played at festivals such as the Casalmaggiore Festival, Les Vacances de Monsieur Haydn, Festival Pau Casals and the Kronberg Festival.
Carlos plays an anonymous English cello made in the 1820s and a Charles Nicolas Bazin bow made in 1875.
